Fearta Necropolis on the slopes of Turoe
Panoramic view of the central segment of the extensive Turoe hill encircled by an inner ward set of linear embankments. The original site of the Turoe Stone was just to the right of the fir trees standing out at centre of the top left half of photo. The fields with sheep & cattle grazing are known as Fearta Tld., one of the Royal Cemeteries on the N & S slopes of Turoe Hill.
