Queen Medb's Tain Bo Cuailgne Route
Archaic placenames on Queen Medb's earliest Tain Bo Cuailgne route (i.e. Fidh Cunga forest where Cormac Ullfhota repaired his chariot) show it ran east from Athenry's Rath Cruacha where she reigned, not south from Rathcroghan of Roscommon where her fiercest enemy, Cuscraid, son of Conor Mac Nessa, reigned.
